Overview of Volume-based Billing for Bulk Email Distribution

Starting from May 31, 2022 (Tuesday), the bulk email distribution function is subject to volume-based billing based on the number of emails sent within a month. The fees will be invoiced after calculating the actual number of emails sent within a month.

It's important to note that even if emails don't reach their destinations due to hard bounces or other errors, they are still counted towards the total and subject to billing.

Here are the available plans and fees as shown in the table below:

※ If the number of emails sent exceeds 35,000, an additional ¥980 will be charged for every 5,000 emails.

Important Notes for First-Time Bulk Email Distribution with formrun

If you plan to send bulk emails to more than 10,000 email addresses at once, especially to email addresses that may not be reached (bounce emails), there may be restrictions on your sending. For more details, please see here.

Important Notes: Using Bulk Email Distribution for Bank Transfer Users

For STARTER and PROFESSIONAL plans, you have the option of using bank transfers (invoice payments) as your payment method. When using bank transfers (invoice payments), the expected number of emails that can be sent in bulk with the bulk email distribution function is limited to 10,000 emails. If the expected number of emails exceeds 10,000, you won't be able to use "Test Send," "Scheduled Send," or "Send Now," so please be aware of this limitation.

Specific Example for Volume-Based Billing

Example 1

If your contract day (payment day) is "1st" of the month, and you sent 2,000 emails from 4/1 to 5/1 and did not send any emails from 5/1 to 6/1, the billing example is as follows:

Since you sent 2,000 emails during the month of 4/1 to 5/1, you will be billed ¥980 for 2,000 email sends on the next contract renewal date, which is 5/1. Since you did not send any emails from 5/1 to 6/1, the bill for 6/1 will be ¥0.

Example 2

If your contract day (payment day) is "1st" of the month, and you sent 8,000 emails from 4/1 to 5/1 and 12,000 emails from 5/1 to 6/1, the billing example is as follows:

Since you sent 8,000 emails during the month of 4/1 to 5/1, you will be billed ¥1,960 for 8,000 email sends on the next contract renewal date, which is 5/1. Additionally, since you sent 12,000 emails from 5/1 to 6/1, you will be billed ¥2,940 for 12,000 email sends on the next contract renewal date, which is 6/1.
